      Greetings to you and your esteemed faculty, and the attendees at the 2010 International Summit Forum on Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Surgery. As a beneficiary of orthopaedic medicine myself, I applaud the work of you and your colleagues, and encourage your continued efforts in advancing the field of orthopaedic sports medicine.
      As the world turns its attention to Shanghai for the World Expo, it will see the expanding horizons of orthopaedic and sports medicine care that are available in China and throughout the world.
      I send best wishes for a successful Forum, and know that it will mirror the excellence with which China and Shanghai are hosting the 2010 World Expo.

“Better city, better life, Sports medicine, safety lifestyle”

In order to enhance sports medicine clinical and academic competency in Aisia-Pacific and great China, the Chinese Society of Sports Medicine (CSSM) and Chinese Orthopaedic Association (COA) will join hands again with International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery & Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), Asia-Pacific Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (APOSSM), and Arthroscopy Association of North American (AANA) to sponsor “2010 International Summit Forum on Orthopaedics Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy Surgery” in Shanghai, China from 12th-15th, May, 2010.    

The Forum will be held during the “ World Expo 2010 Shanghai, China”. The theme of Expo 2010 is "Better City, Better Life," representing the common wish of the whole humankind for a better living in future urban environments. More than 240 countries will show their unique imagination and hope in Future city , and more than 70 million visitors from all over the world are expected to visit the Expo.  

This unique educational event will be hosted by Huashan Hospital affiliated Fudan University. The department of Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy Surgery of Huashan Hospital had already hosted six “Shanghai International Forum on Arthroscopy and Orthopedics Sports Medicine and National Course on Arthroscopy”, it belongs to one of a national continuing education program. The international faculties of this congress are all selected by ISAKOS, APOSSM as well as AANA, grouped by currently world top and famous experts, to offer lectures, live arthroscopy surgical demonstrations and hands-on cadaver workshops. Moreover, attending Chinese doctors will be specially assisted to join ISAKOS and receive guidance on how to contribute “Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery”.  

This meeting will be a high level international academic exchange and continuing education program.  We, on behalf of the organizer and host unit, sincerely invite you to come to Shanghai, to experience the fascination, energy and arts from current international orthopaedic sports medicine, and also to enjoy the “Shanghai World Expo 2010”!
